Where Avalon Breathes Through the Veil
Glastonbury isn’t somewhere you simply “decide” to visit.
It comes to you first.
A whisper.
A tug.
A sudden, inexplicable feeling that you need to stand on top of that hill and breathe.
And when you finally make the trip?
There’s this moment ~ usually halfway up the Tor ~ where the wind hits you just right and something inside you shifts.
Like the land has reached into your chest and said:
“Here. This part was always yours. Take it back.”
The Energy of the Tor: The Wind That Knows Your Name
If you’ve ever felt stuck, heavy, lost, or a bit tangled inside yourself, the Tor does something strange. It straightens you.
It’s ancient and wild, but not intimidating.
It doesn’t demand.
It invites.
The energy is clear, airy, almost electric ~ the kind of energy that makes you breathe deeper without realising it. There’s a sense of being held and lifted at the same time.
Some people cry.
Some laugh.
Some just stand there, letting the wind stitch them back together.
It all counts.
A Ritual for the Spiral Path
Just before you reach the summit, stop where the path curves.
~Place your palm on the earth.
~Close your eyes.
~Let the wind wrap around you.
Inhale:
“I release the story that no longer fits.”
Exhale:
“I rise into the woman I am becoming.”
Pick up a small stone, hold it for a breath or two, and leave it gently on the ground.
A tiny offering.
A tiny return.
The Tor understands.

🌿 The Elements of Avalon
Glastonbury is ruled by Air — clarity, truth, perspective — but don’t underestimate the Earth beneath your feet. She is strong, old, salt-of-the-bone steady.
This place is perfect for:
✨ emotional release
✨ fresh beginnings
✨ clarity
✨ healing cycles
✨ stepping into a new chapter
✨ remembering yourself
It is, in every way, a rebirth hill.
🌞 How to Get to Glastonbury (The Easy Way)
Here’s the thing people forget: Glastonbury has no train station- (Something I actually forgot, so don't make the same mistake I did!)
Which makes it feel even more like a pilgrimage.
🚘 By Car
Honestly the easiest.
From London: ~2h 45m
From Bristol: ~45m
Parking is available at the base of the Tor on Stone Down Lane.
🚌 By Bus
If you’re coming by public transport, bus it from Bristol or Wells.
The 376 is your friend.
🚖 Taxi Tip
If you want to catch sunrise on the Tor (and you absolutely should), pre-book your taxi the night before. Morning taxis can be rare.

🌙 When to Visit (And What It Brings You)
After visiting this sacred site on many occasions, during each season, I can safely say the following...
🌱 Spring
Everything is soft and new. Perfect for fresh beginnings.
🌞 Summer
Warm, bright, buzzing with life. Good for gathering energy.
🍂 Autumn
Shadow work season. The White Spring hits different in October.
❄ Winter
Wild, windy, intimate.
You and the hill. No distractions.
Each season gives you something different.
There’s no wrong time to visit... So pick the season that best fits you
🧭 How Long You Need (Realistically)
People try to do Glastonbury in a day.
Don’t.
2–3 nights is perfect.
Enough time to breathe, wander, integrate, and actually feel the land instead of rushing like a tourist.
🕯️ What to Do in Glastonbury (The Real Way)
🌅 Sunrise on the Tor
Non-negotiable.
There’s a point where the sun hits the valley and every tight thing inside you… loosens.
Take water. A light scarf. And your real thoughts.
The Red Spring feels like being held in a warm embrace.
Everything slows.
Everything softens.
Sit by the water.
Put your hands on the stone.
Let the place speak.

This is the shadow sister to Chalice Well ~ darker, echoing, candlelit, primal. The inside of a womb. A place where emotions rise up from nowhere.
Go slow.
Go quietly.
Go willing to feel
If the Tor is the question, the Abbey is the exhale.
Wide lawns, ancient stone, space to think.
I like to bring a notebook.
Something always wants to be written there.

🔮 The High Street
A witchy treasure hunt.
Crystal shops, herbal apothecaries, goddess altars, incense, books you didn’t know you needed.
You’ll inevitably buy something.
Everyone does.
🍽 Where to Eat (The Places You Actually Want)
I don’t know what it is about Glastonbury but everything tastes more nourishing here.
🌱 Earthfare - An eco supermarket with a hidden cafe within
Bowls of vegetables that feel like a warm hug from your future self.
Homemade cakes that should honestly be illegal.
A medieval inn with the kind of atmosphere that makes you imagine past lives.
🛍 Shops You’ll Fall in Love With
Herbs, oils, incense ~ absolute witch heaven.
If Wyldborne had a sister shop, this is her.
Seasonal magic, altar pieces, priestess items.
Esoteric books you didn’t intend to buy but suddenly “need.”
Tarot decks with attitude.
🛏 Where to Stay (From Someone Who’s Actually Been)
This place is witchcraft embodied — altars, candles, velvet sofas, décor that feels half museum, half magical sanctum.
It’s an experience, not a hotel.
Warm, welcoming, local, clean — the kind of place where you feel safe to collapse after a day of walking up hills and into your own soul.
If you want quiet, this is your sanctuary.
Stars overhead.
Wind through the fields.
Nothing but your thoughts and the sound of nature humming.
🌕 Why Sacred Travel Hits Different
Because sacred trips aren’t “holidays.”
They’re realignments.
A breath.
A reset.
A remembering.
When you come back from Glastonbury, you don’t return as the same woman.
Something has softened.
Something has sharpened.
Something has clicked back into place.
You feel… restored.
